Obtaining a Liquor License
Liquor licenses are issued by the Perry County Board for qualified businesses in the unincorporated areas of Perry County which file a liquor license application and the appropriate fee. Those seeking a liquor license for use inside a municipality should contact the local city or village clerk.
Regulation of liquor licensing is dictated by the Illinois Liquor Control Act and the Perry County Liquor Control Ordinance. Licenses are restricted by number and regulated by class. Liquor licenses are issued by class depending on the type of liquor sales sought. Temporary license for wine tasting events are also permitted.
Please contact the Perry County Clerk’s office for a copy of the County Liquor Control Ordinance and an application. Proof of insurance and the appropriate fees must accompany each completed application.
